Something lovely made by These Fair Hands

Dustry aka Captain Calamity is very unhappy at the moment, being ridden in walk for 20mins really isn’t cutting the mustard for this little workaholic. Add to that the fact that ‘the hairy marshmallow’ aka Bolly came back last weekend gloating about his foot perfect cross country and 1st place, and he’s got a bad case of ‘the blues’.

20151102_173854Thankfully something just arrived in the post to cheer up the old sad sack, and if this doesn’t work it will have to be ‘Pony Prozac’

The crafty peeps at These Fair Hands got in touch to see if I would be keen to showcase one of their latest products, in particular their new hand carved oak stable signs. Dustry has never had a stable sign, thanks to his social media following and flamboyant behaviour in warm ups he is rather notorious, and many people already know his name!!!!!

d2d1 I have however been on a bit of a stable beautification trip of late (purchasing a pair of box balls to adorn my stable block – don’t judge me I have too much time on my hands!) and a snazzy new stable sign has made the perfect addition.

Say my name……. DUSTRY! #horsesofinstagram #horses #equestrian #blogger #tagsforlikes #like #equestrian #countryside

Paul and Julie who run These Fair Hands are also horsey types and can often be found out and about with their daughter Amy and her ponies Beau and Hope competing for her school and pony club. Paul like a lot of ‘horsey Dads’ says he gets to do “all the best bits like poo picking, hitching the trailer and driving between competitions!”. He sounds like a lucky chap to me 😉

20151102_174224Being a small family business their customised products have a real personal feel, and when Dustry’s sign arrived all hand wrapped in tissue paper with a cute sticker and printed tag I may have let out a little ‘awwwwww’

As well as horsey items (bridle racks, stable signs, whip holders etc) they also make some very lovely dog bowls, welly racks, and country sports themed gifts. As a special gift to GHE readers if you use the code GHE15 you can get 15% off your order (code expires Dec 5th 2015) and place you order before 5th December to get it in time for Christmas.

20151115_085605Now that his box is looking so snazzy I thought I ought to dig out his BD Petplan Area Festival and Winter Champs plaques to stick up along side his name, Nothing like a little ego massage to remind bestest beast that he’s No 1 and it won’t be long now until he’s back and giving Bolly a run for his money.
